From our Google profile

A home charger pulls a heavy load for hours at a time, so it needs its own circuit, and the panel has to have room for it. We check that first. If the panel can take it, the install is straightforward. If it can't, we tell you before you buy anything, and we go over what it would take.

Most of our installs are Tesla Wall Connectors, but we also put in other Level 2 chargers and 240 volt outlets for plug-in adapters. Every charger gets its own dedicated circuit, installed to the National Electrical Code and connected at your breaker panel.

What the job includes

  • Panel and load check before we quote
  • Tesla Wall Connector installation
  • Level 2 chargers from other brands
  • 240 volt outlets for plug-in charging adapters
  • A dedicated circuit for every charger
  • Garage, carport and outside wall mounting

Signs it's time to call

  • You just bought an EV, or one is on order
  • Charging from a regular 120 volt outlet takes all night and still isn't enough
  • Your current charger trips a breaker
  • You are adding a second EV to the household

What it costs

The price mostly comes down to two things: how far the charger sits from the panel, and whether the panel has room for a new circuit. A charger on the other side of the garage wall from the panel is simple. A long run, or a panel that needs work first, costs more. We look at both and give you one price.

From a customer

We always recommend a licensed electrician, because the charger connects to your breaker panel on a high-amperage circuit. A mistake there is a fire risk and can cause trouble with your insurance.

A 240 volt outlet on its own circuit, installed to code. We can put in the outlet or a hardwired Wall Connector. The Wall Connector charges faster, and we will go over the difference with you.

Yes. Whichever charger you choose, it needs a dedicated circuit. Sharing a circuit with other loads is how breakers end up tripping in the middle of the night.
