Panels, EV chargers, generator inlets, lighting and repairs from Highway 290 up to Bridgeland and Towne Lake.

Cypress covers a lot of ground. Some of it is subdivisions from the 1980s and 1990s off FM 1960 and Huffmeister. The rest is the newer master-planned communities further out, like Bridgeland, Towne Lake and Fairfield, where whole streets went up in the last fifteen years.
The calls we get reflect that. In the older neighborhoods it is usually a panel that has reached its age, outlets that have quit, or a house that needs more circuits than it was built with. In the newer ones it is EV chargers, ceiling fans and lighting the builder didn't include, and surge protection for a house full of electronics.
Cypress is where one of our two Google listings is based, on Huffmeister Road off Highway 290.
The houses in Cypress
Older Cypress homes off FM 1960 and Huffmeister are now thirty to forty years old, and many still have their original panel. The newer homes in Bridgeland, Towne Lake and Fairfield are big, two-story, and full of electronics, with two or three AC units, and the builder-grade panel often has very few open slots left.
What we keep an eye on here
Summer lightning and long outages are what push most Cypress homeowners to call. After Beryl in 2024, a lot of Cypress was without power for days. A generator inlet and interlock lets your portable generator carry the house through the next one, and whole-house surge protection covers the lightning.
Permits in Cypress
Much of Cypress is unincorporated Harris County, outside any city limits, and some addresses sit inside a municipal utility district or an HOA with its own rules. That affects who has to approve the work, so we check your address before we quote.
What we do in Cypress
- Generator inlets and interlocks. A generator inlet on the outside wall and an interlock in the panel, so a portable generator can safely power the circuits you pick when CenterPoint goes down.
- EV and Tesla charger installation. Tesla Wall Connectors, Level 2 chargers and 240 volt outlets on their own dedicated circuit, with the panel checked first.
- Breaker panels and service upgrades. New and replacement breaker panels, sub panels, disconnects and grounding, plus a look at the old Federal Pacific panels that still turn up in Houston homes.

No. Generator inlets, outdoor panels and outside lights are visible from the street, so some HOAs want to approve them first. Tell us about your HOA and we will plan the install around its rules.
